Tasting Notes
The bouquet is of vibrant dark cheery fruit and clean spirit. The palate is full of vibrant fruit characters and has a firm tannin and drier finish. The flavours linger on the palate and the wine has a lovely soft fruit finish.
Winemaking Notes
Made from Durif grapes grown in our own vineyard. The grapes were harvested on 2nd March 2018, destemmed and then fermented in open vats with hand-plunging. The wine was fortified using grape spirit and then aged in stainless steel tanks before bottling. The final alcohol is 19.5% with a Baume of 3.2.
