2023 J6 Muscat Sec – Dry Muscat
The J6 range of wines has been created by Benjamin Jones,the 6th Generation of the Jones family who have owned and operated Jones Winery & Vineyard for over 90 years. All wines are crafted from estate grown, unirrigated vines and undergo minimal fining or filtration.
Tasting Notes
The is deliciously fresh, dry white wine with an evocative mix of musk and rose-petals on the nose, with a vibrant and lingering tropical and stone fruit driven palate.
Winemaking Notes
Made from Rutherglen Brown Muscat that was picked early to create an aromatic and lighter bodied style of wine. Picked on 21st February at just 12.3 potential alcohol, the grapes were pressed immediately, and the juice separated to minimise colour pick up from the skins. The juice was fermented at low temperature and then matured in tank with lees stirring to achieve desired palate weight and depth of flavour. Bottled in December 2023. 760 Bottles Made, Vegan.
