Winemaking Notes
Made from a small patch of Grenache which was grown from cuttings from our 1905 Town Block Vineyard. These vines were manually crop thinned and leaf plucked on the eastern side to concentrate flavours and maximise morning sunlight interception. The vines were hand-picked on the 20th of March and destemmed into an open top fermenter. The wine was pressed off skins 8 days later into old French oak, where the remainder of alcoholic fermentation was completed. Malolactic fermentation occurred prior to racking off lees and returning to barrel until bottling in December 2023. 13.9% Alcohol, 675 bottles produced. Vegan.
