A wine that is great with all red meat dishes, especially a simple grilled steak, roast venison or lamb shanks.
Halliday Wine Companion: " Durif holds a special place in the hearts of many Rutherglen makers, including Jones. With firm, inky tannins well in place, the '22 proceeds to shows its finer side, it's aromatic side, in blackcurrant, blackberry fashioned around wild herbs, rosemary and thyme, with baking spices and dark chocolate. Tight, focused and nowhere near ready to reveal all; it is, however, a well-constructed base upon which to build a bright future." 92 Points Jeni Port Feb 2025
