This wine is a fuller-bodied, mineral driven style of Roussanne, with a stone fruit and black tea driven nose with subtle flint and pencil shaving aromas. The palate is broad and viscous with stone fruits and light vanilla, before a long cheese curd finish.

Winemaking Notes
Made from Roussanne picked slightly early on the 2nd of March to achieve great minerality and to retain high natural acidity. The wine was whole bunch pressed straight to an old French oak barrel to undergo alcoholic fermentation. Malolactic conversion was prevented and the wine underwent bâtonnage for around 8 months, before bottling in December 2023. 336 Bottles.
The J6 range of wines has been created by Benjamin Jones, the 6th Generation of the Jones family who have owned and operated Jones Winery & Vineyard for over 90 years. All wines are crafted from estate grown, unirrigated vines and undergo minimal fining or filtration.
