Tasting Notes
The bouquet is spicy with aromatic cherry fruit characters and is fresh and clean. The palate is finely textured with a rich middle palate and a savoury finish.
Winemaking Notes
Made from grapes grown in our vineyards. This wine was made from Grenache (65%) and Shiraz (35%). The Grenache was destemmed and macerated with its skins for 24 hours before pressing. The Shiraz portion was made by running the juice away from the skins before too much colour was obtained. After racking the juice was fermented in older oak barrels at a low temperature. The wine was matured in the barrel with lees stirring for texture and complexity for 7 months. Alc 12.2%, drink now whilst it is young and fresh.
Food Matches
Antipasto, picnic food and pizza or just by itself well chilled.
Drinking Tip
